Total-Scope Systems

Total-Scope Systems are rooted in a universal context first and lower contexts second. Total-Scope starts from this premise: We live in the universe. Because these systems cover the overarching context for humanity, they transparently aid the individual in self-discovery and communities in realizing their full potential.

Do we live on Earth? Least of all, yes. The primary truth about us is that we live in the Universe. The alleged voice of reason says, “be practical.” We respond: practical in the Universe? Or practical on Earth? Ignoring the Universe makes life complicated and impractical. Earth is in the Universe. Why not put first things first?

Going deeper, Total-Scope is about Right brain primacy ahead of Left; Infinite nature primacy ahead of Finite nature; Parallel “first” in priority in contrast to Linear.

Sequence is important. If we start from linearity, concurrence never happens. But starting from concurrence makes linearity possible, if necessary. A straight line may be particular and clear, but it only has meaning in a wider context. Total-Scope begins from a unified context and views particulars from there. Starting from particulars and trying to sense the true depth of a vast context is not only inefficient but impossible.

As an illustration, Total-Scope can be compared to fitting rice and walnuts in a jar. If the rice goes in first, the walnuts will not fit. But put the walnuts in first and the rice will fit gaps in the walnuts. Allegorically, the Left/linear/finite life is the rice and Right/parallel/infinite is the walnuts. The jar is the present, the future; it is our perspective and consciousness.

By assuming a Total-Scope premise, software design and social architectures empower all participants. A Total-Scope system increases the quality of life for the communities involved, and it does this transparently without drawing attention to itself. The decisions and activities in a Total-Scope software environment are of a higher perspective by default.
